Christina Lengyel, MFA
Writer, Reader & Doorkeeper
I am…
I am motivated in all things by a desire to serve. By nature, I am a communicator with a focus on deep listening and a comfortability with silence. By vocation I am a writer and teacher, now also entering the death work space to see where I can be of use. In relationship, I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, student, teacher, colleague and friend. For joy, I am a creator, performer, and reader.

As a Doula:
Experiences with death in my own life gave me a profound sense of reverence for this sacred transitional time. It also gave me immense gratitude for the people who support us through our losses. My journey has led me to become a hospice volunteer, attain certification as a doula, and embark on a program of graduate study toward chaplaincy. I am a sincere spiritual practitioner with a wide array of influences. I use my skills and passions to help honor your values, desires, and moments. I strive to create a calm, non-judgmental space through compassionate presence. I will hear your voice, and work to preserve it even when emotions run high or the room falls quiet.

fear of the known
You have to believe that the precious instance of transcendence or connection in a moment of eye contact is weightier than hours spent inside the algorithm.
