One of the great joys in life, I find, is pursuing what you love and learning as you go how the pieces fit together. The thread that runs through it all for me is writing. I have had the amazing fortune to work full-time as a journalist and publish widely. Close to my heart are the poems, short stories, and creative projects I’ve gotten to share with the world. For my professional or creative C.V., email me.

Beyond that? I do what I can to make art, to have fun, and to use all the stuff I’ve had the privilege of learning. If you’ve found me for any of those reasons, drop me a line, and I’ll be happy to chat about if and how we can work together!

Writing, Design & Editing

My education in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts has allowed me to dive deep into both the writing and design sides of things. That dual training has allowed me to do a lot of work in marketing – designing logos, brand kits, websites, and social media strategies. I’ve written copy, blogs, and white papers and edited academic, commercial, and creative work. I think these things (and teaching, even) all stand on a person’s ability to truly hear, see, and believe a person, idea, or brand for what they are. From there, it’s all about helping them shine.

  • I currently maintain websites and marketing campaigns for a few of my clients. When I get involved in design projects, it’s usually in areas where I have subject matter expertise like education, health and wellness, or spirituality. For portfolio items, email me.
  • I currently offer editing services on a selective basis. It’s not a big priority for me, but if you have a project that you think is the perfect fit, I would love to hear about it.

Journalism

I write both as a freelancer and a state legislative reporter. Below, you’ll find a small selection of articles I’ve written.
